Planting Our Seeds

At the beginning of the school year, our classes practiced writing techniques and began filling their writer's notebooks with many different ideas. A few weeks ago, we chose one of these short writings to be our "seed piece." We discussed how as a class, we would grow these pieces into long, beautiful stories that were ready to be published in our class book, the same way that one would love and nurture a seed into a big, beautiful plant. To help remind us why we are working so hard as we write each day, we each planted a seed into our own, personally decorated "flower pots." It is our hope that as our stories develop, we will watch our plants develop and grow.

When Eragon found the house in ruins he also found his uncle mostly dead. Then later his uncle dies and then Eragon met Brom.togeather with Saphera( the dragon) they trail the Rasec but the Rasec find them first.and they murder Brom. Eragon is saved by Murtaugh and together with the dragon venture to the Vardon. alot more happends but to find out what you need to read the book.

In this book it showed how some animals were albino and how some were not . If you remove an axolotl's eyes and then put them back they will be able to use them again in weeks. An albino penguin has to live in a building that has sprinklers to waddle since they can't go out to the sun.

Where the red fern grows

In the story a kid named Billy buy these dogs from a newspaper or magazine and they are two hound dogs.He names them Dan and Ann. Those dogs are so close that were ever Dan goes Ann goes with him too. Those dog go out at night and look for racoons.One time they went to a racoon contest and they had to find the most racoon out of everyone. So they were off to a good start but their were two racoons they could not catch. But a blood hound attacked Dan and Ann but Dan fell in a water fall and Ann went in to save Dan.Even though they did not get alot of raccons they still won the contest and Dan was ok. So Billy was happy.They also won alot of money.But at the end Ann and Dan die so Billy burries them in a shoe box and a little red fern grows in between them. Billy asks his mom why did a red fern grow in between them and she said because ""They were so close to each other". Their was a story about a little indian and a girl and they were so close to each other and a red fern growed between them when they died.

The main character in the story is Roylin Baily. He lives in a run down apartment with his mom and sister. He goes to Blueford High School, where he see's Korie Archer, "the hottest thang' in the entire school," and wants to make her his girl. He helps her find one of her classes and asks her out to lunch. He likes her alot and wants to buy her a necklace she really wants, but it was three-hundered dollars, and he had been bragging he has alot of money, but he only had fifty dollars to spend on the necklace but he really wants to get her the necklace. Mr.Miller was a friend of Roylins and would have given him the money had he asked, but Mr. Miller was sleeping. So, Roylin took the money out of his wallet. When Roylin comes home from school after giving Korie the necklace he bought, Tuttle said Mr. Miller was dead.
