
Where the red fern grows

In the story a kid named Billy buy these dogs from a newspaper or magazine and they are two hound dogs.He names them Dan and Ann. Those dogs are so close that were ever Dan goes Ann goes with him too. Those dog go out at night and look for racoons.One time they went to a racoon contest and they had to find the most racoon out of everyone. So they were off to a good start but their were two racoons they could not catch. But a blood hound attacked Dan and Ann but Dan fell in a water fall and Ann went in to save Dan.Even though they did not get alot of raccons they still won the contest and Dan was ok. So Billy was happy.They also won alot of money.But at the end Ann and Dan die so Billy burries them in a shoe box and a little red fern grows in between them. Billy asks his mom why did a red fern grow in between them and she said because ""They were so close to each other". Their was a story about a little indian and a girl and they were so close to each other and a red fern growed between them when they died.
